Another Disgraceful Sentence!

Time For ChangeMelanie Lee, 35-years-old, was driving home to Manchester after visiting her parents in Glasgow on the September 30 2007.

In the early hours of the morning, her BMW Mini Convertible span out of control on the motorway, swerved from lane to lane before hitting the central barrier, ending-up facing in the wrong direction.

She was uninjured and phoned the emergency services as she remained in the car and looked for her glasses, before two motorists stopped to help.

The men struggled with the passenger door and managed to get the window open to enable Miss Lee to get out when a speeding car slammed into the vehicle.

Miss Lee, was sent flying through the window of her car as she tried to climb to safety and died later in hospital from multiple injuries.

Sarah Taylor, 23-years-old, a medical receptionist and lap-dancer, was not only driving at 95mph, but was twice over the legal limit and talking on her mobile phone at the time of the crash.

It was heard in court, that Taylor was working at her lap-dancing job in the Blackpool Strip Club, before driving home on the night of the crash, and had made at least two phone calls while driving at speed. Allegedly, the first thing that Taylor said after the collision was, “I was on my phone, I was on my phone.”

She would have killed three people that night, if the two motorists hadn’t managed to jump out of the way seconds before she ploughed into Miss Lee’s car.

She pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving, and can you believe it, she was given 6 years in prison and banned from driving from five.

So exactly what message does that send out, apart from the fact, that this woman’s life was only worth 6 years of the Miss Lee’s, absolutely disgusting, she should never, ever be allowed to drive again for a start!
