A drunk driver named as James Forrester aged 33, who viciously assaulted a lone traffic cop who dared to pull him over for driving whilst under the influence was jailed today for 3 years and 8 months.

The drunken yob was pulled over by the policeman while driving a Ford Focus in Manchester at 12.30am with no lights, a flat tyre and a smashed wing mirror.

Forrester had got out of his car and agreed to get into the back of the patrol car, but once inside refused to give a breath test. He then put his feet up on the centre console and was told by the officer to ‘Take Your feet off that. That’s disrespectful.’

Forrester snapped and punched the officer in the face and leaning forward bit him on the cheek, before landing further punches.

The policeman managed to get out of the patrol car but Forrester climbed into the front of the vehicle and followed him out to continue his furious assault.

He attacked the officer on the pavement behind the car and then chased him into the road where he knocked him down and continued to punch him in the head. The assault was only stopped when four passers by decided to intervene.

The attack was recorded on CCTV cameras in the street and can be seen clearly in the following footage.

Forrester was found to be two and half times over the legal drink drive limit and was banned from driving for five years and will have to retake his driving test as well as landing himself in prison for a paltry period.

I found the story unbelievable this week and the sentence he received even more so, what is going on?

This w***er, known as Mark Kirc, 20, from Keighley, West Yorkshire, was driving his silver Vauxhall Corsa along the M62 rowing with his girlfriend, and two friends at 2am after having a night out in Blackpool. He then pulled onto the hard shoulder of the motorway where he and the others get out of the car.

Kirc gets back into his car and decides to do a U-Turn, facing the oncoming traffic he then does a handbrake turn in the middle of the motorway and pulls back onto the hard shoulder where he does another handbrake turn and is yet again facing the wrong way.

He was later stopped by police, but then assaulted the officer by repeatedly punching him in the face, breaking the policeman’s glasses. Kirk continued the attack and the two were on the floor, the officer was also kicked in the head.

Kirk was later arrested and admitted to dangerous driving and assault. Kirk, who also has previous convictions for drink-driving and disorderly behaviour, was given a pathetic two-year conditional discharge.

The hearing took place at Manchester Crown Court, where Judge Clement Goldstone said that Kirk drove like a “lunatic” but he could not impose a suspended prison sentence as Kirk was to begin a new job.

Kirk allegedly has a job lined-up in Ireland, and the reason for the decision was that he would not be able to do any community work in the UK, which apparently forms part of the suspended sentence.

The judge said,

“I cannot impose such a requirement in this case because you are not going to be here to fulfil it and I’m not going to set you up to fail.”

Kirk was also banned from driving for two years, and he has to also take an extensible test when he returns to the road and was fined £1,800 in compensation to the policeman and court costs.

This has got to be one of the most pathetic sentences and decision for that sentence that I have seen so far, what is happening to the British justice system!

This potential murderer should have at least been handed a hefty prison sentence and a driving ban for good, how many people’s lives did he put in danger, unbelievable!

Here’s the clip;

I remember being told as a youngster to always respect your elders but it seems that it’s not always the case these days.

A 64-year old man, living in sheltered accommodation in Lincolnshire, who is said to be suffering from Parkinson’s disease, has been taken to court for burglary.

The pensioner, had forced open the back door of a menswear store in the town and filled his bags with clothing worth an estimated £500, however, when staff turned-up at the store they found his mobility scooter parked at the front. They then heard footsteps in the store room above but the sprightly old boy made his get away and rode off on his scooter.

Unfortunately, he had forgotten his swag, which he apparently intended to collect later but never made it back to the store.

The old man pleaded guilty to the offence and his medication has been increased. He was given a conditional discharge of 18 months and had to pay court costs of £60.

Next there was the drunk granny, who tried to drive her car up a stone staircase, normally for pedestrian use, after leaving her aerobics class.

The 74-year-old, admitted drinking before and after the fitness class and then attempting to drive herself home, but her car got wedged at the top of the stairs and emergency services were called.

The incident happened in Cambridgeshire on November 5th, after already reversing into a stone wall in the car park before missing the exit ramp and heading for the pedestrian exit.

She was breathalysed at the scene which proved to be positive leading to an 18 month driving ban, a £350 fine and was ordered to pay costs of £60 plus a £15 victim surcharge.

Another pensioner has maimed and injured a person which led to his death due to dangerous driving, and now a judge is trying to get a change in the law to test that older drivers are still fit to drive.

An 86-year-old man, who was registered deaf, had previously had eight heart bypass operations, had suffered a stroke and only just had mobility, ploughed into three pedestrians after accidentally putting his foot on the accelerator instead of the brake.

He mounted the pavement and hit an elderly couple and a 24-year-old woman. The wife, 77, had to have her leg amputated and is still in hospital with serious hip injuries while her husband 78, died three months later, which his family believe is a consequence of the accident.

The driver, was given a suspended eight-month sentence for dangerous driving and fined £2000 with orders to pay £250 costs plus a three-year driving ban.

Currently in the UK there is no upper age limit for drivers, although at the age of 70-years-old, the driver needs to reapply for their license and every three years after, and it is also up the driver to declare if they are still fit to drive.

It always astounds me to see a frail pensioner shuffling across the road with walking sticks etc, easing themselves into a car and driving off. How can they possible have the same reflects that they had as a younger person to be able to make a quick decision and be able to drive a vehicle safely, quite simply they can’t!

Of course, not all elderly are bad drivers, most are more careful than many of the young guns on the roads today but many should have hung-up the keys a long time ago.

In my view, at the age of 65-years-of-age, a person should have a test every year, if they are competent drivers, with a full proven eye test, then no problem. As we all know, health does deteriorate with age!

Joanne Hill has been given a life sentence for the murder of her four-year-old disabled daughter Naomi, at Chester Crown Court.

Hill, 32-years-old, drowned her daughter in the family bath and then denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

This evil mother claimed she could not cope with the mild cerebral palsy her little girl suffered from and the fact that she was embarrassed that the child had to wear calipers to allow her to walk.

The judge in this case Elgan Edwards, told Hill that there was no excuse for what she had done, and added,

“You killed your own daughter because you could not cope with her disability. You had other pressures upon you, a disintegrating marriage and you decided to kill your own daughter by drowning her.”

Hill, who has a history of mental health problems, took Naomi home after collecting her from a childminder on the 26th November last year. She ran a bath and added bubble bath before going downstairs for a glass of wine. When the bath was full she told her daughter she was having a bath before putting Naomi in it and holding her head under the water for up to ten-minutes.

She then dressed the child and put her in the car along with a bottle of wine before her husband returned home from work. She then drove around for about eight hours, ending up at the Countess of Chester Hospital holding her dead daughter and crying for help.

It is still unclear exactly what Hill did in those eight hours but she was seen at a petrol station while her dead daughter was in the car, smiling and joking with staff, all captured on CCTV.

Mr Hill, had previously refused to consider his wife’s request to have their daughter adopted or fostered by their childminder, but was in court to hear the verdict surrounded by his family.

I hope she rots in hell, that little girl didn’t deserve her life taken away by her evil mother and as for the diminished responsibility plea, it’s wrong, she knew what she was doing.

Rest in Peace Naomi x

In the early hours of the morning, her BMW Mini Convertible span out of control on the motorway, swerved from lane to lane before hitting the central barrier, ending-up facing in the wrong direction.

She was uninjured and phoned the emergency services as she remained in the car and looked for her glasses, before two motorists stopped to help.

The men struggled with the passenger door and managed to get the window open to enable Miss Lee to get out when a speeding car slammed into the vehicle.

Miss Lee, was sent flying through the window of her car as she tried to climb to safety and died later in hospital from multiple injuries.

Sarah Taylor, 23-years-old, a medical receptionist and lap-dancer, was not only driving at 95mph, but was twice over the legal limit and talking on her mobile phone at the time of the crash.

It was heard in court, that Taylor was working at her lap-dancing job in the Blackpool Strip Club, before driving home on the night of the crash, and had made at least two phone calls while driving at speed. Allegedly, the first thing that Taylor said after the collision was, “I was on my phone, I was on my phone.”

She would have killed three people that night, if the two motorists hadn’t managed to jump out of the way seconds before she ploughed into Miss Lee’s car.

She pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving, and can you believe it, she was given 6 years in prison and banned from driving from five.

So exactly what message does that send out, apart from the fact, that this woman’s life was only worth 6 years of the Miss Lee’s, absolutely disgusting, she should never, ever be allowed to drive again for a start!

Today a campaigning Mersyside mother will be joined by up to 200 of her friends and relatives on a walk from Whitehall place to No. 10 Downing Street to deliver a petition as part of the Enough is Enough; Life Should Mean Life Campaign.

Jean Taylor’s daughter 27-year-old Chantel Taylor, a mother of three children aged 12, 11 and 9, was murdered by Stephen Wynne, 27, of Birkenhead although no body has ever been found.

Her mother has campaigned wholeheartedly to find her but the police thought she must be dead and in January Wynne admitted to her murder.

The family held a funeral for Chantel in July 2006 as a celebration of a young mother’s life.

Wynne was sentenced to life at Liverpool Crown Court on January 25, when the judge said he should serve a minimum of 21 years in jail. However, he took the case to the Court of appeal and they ruled that the minimum term was too long and reduced it to 18 years.

The court heard how Wynne had used a saw to dismember the body and how he hid the parts in nearby woods and at the local tip.
The killer was also sentenced to 6 years for a failed arson attack on a mosque.

At last someone is doing something and I for one back them every step of the way. How should he even have been allowed to take his case to the Court Of Appeal when he had already admitted the evil murder. He has robbed this woman of a daughter and three children of their mother, why should he ever be allowed to walk the streets again.

Mrs Taylor was quoted as saying “We should take young thugs out of prison and give them six months of army training American-style boot camps. Depending on the severity of their crimes, they could spend another six months in somewhere like Iraq. Let’s turn them into men, rather than let them spend a year in a holiday camp playing pool or on their playstations”.

“Ordinary people in this country are sick and tired of what’s going and I am inviting those who haven’t lost young ones in the way we have to join our campaign”.

“How many parents who have teenagers living at home can say they are not fearful? I want to say to them ‘Do you want to be next? Do you want to be where I am?’ If you don’t, then come along next time and support us. And if we end up going back to London with 20,000 people there is no way we can be ignored.”

Mrs Taylor added “We shouldn’t be having to do this, but we’re going to keep on going back to London again and again, until murderers are kept off our streets – for ever.”

Last year’s figures were 19 alone, what does that tell you!

Nick Herber, the shadow justice secretary, has said “Labour’s mismanagement of prisons is descending from tragedy to farce. How secure are our jails if criminals can break into them? Whether these are offenders trying to return to jail, as prison officers have alleged, or dealers trying to traffic drugs, it is ludicrous that supposedly secure establishments can be breached in this way.”

As I have said in previous stories, it is a free bed and breakfast hotel, there is no punishment, most of the prisoners have a better time in jail than they’ve ever had on the outside, is nobody getting the message!

Inmates allegedly have recently told Mr Straw that conditions inside are like a “holiday camp”.

Glyn Travis, the assistant general secretary of the Prison Officers Association said, “Prisoners receive a wage for being in prison, they receive a bed, a TV in all cells, Sky television in most areas for recreational use, free telephones, breakfast in bed on many occasions, cash bonuses for good behaviour and prison staff are forced to deal with them in such a subservient way. It’s rediculous.”

Mr Travers also said “Drugs are coming in at a rate that’s so dramatic that (they) are actually cheaper than on the outside. It tells me there’s something wrong in society when people are breaking into jail to bring in drugs and prostitutes, but the prisoners are quite happy to stay inside.” He also mentioned what happened on one occasion with a break-in at Everthorpe prison in Yorkshire when drug dealers and prostitutes actually entered the jail with ladders.

According to recent figures, 37,000 inmates were eligible for early release but they declined to apply.

Why would they want to leave, they haven’t even got to bother with the effort of signing-on as they do on the outside. No rent to pay, no council tax, no bills, free food, bed and board and they even get given money for absolutely nothing, what is the point! You are all paying for them to live in this pampered society! Boot camps or national service is the answer, not the pathetic jail’s we have in the UK.

Dean Lee, a 23-year-old, speeding, uninsured driver talking on his mobile phone, ploughed into Lynn Graham as she was riding her horse.

Lynn, 53-years-old, suffered a broken neck, punctured lung, fractured pelvis, three broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder, her beloved horse Friendly, died at the spot.

The Prosecutor Louise Pinder, described the accident, “It was around midday when another motorist saw the defendant driving a Volvo at between 50 and 60 mph, in excess of the speed limit at Minchinhampton Common, Gloucestershire, and clearly talking on his mobile phone.”

Lee pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, to driving without due care and attention and to using a hand-held mobile phone while driving.

Lynn Graham’s life has been “utterly destroyed” by what happened that day and “She said in a victims statement, that the accident had robbed her of her standard of life.” She now walks with a crutch, cannot do her own hair, dress or shower herself.

Defending was Graham Wallis, who said “My client tenders his deep remorse and apologies to the victim.”

“As a van driver, if banned then he will lose his job. Any compensation will be subject to separate civil proceedings.”

Andrew Hedges, Chairman of the bench said “Your driving on that day was atrocious – you were driving at speed and while using a mobile phone. As a man who drives for a living you should have known better.”

Lee was banned from driving for 1 year, fined £500, ordered to take an extended driving test at the end of his ban and to pay prosecution costs of £60.

Outside the Court, Lynn Graham said “He has taken my life away and my good horse.”

“If banned then he would lose his job”, Good, I can’t believe any employer would want to have him driving their van’s with his record and I shouldn’t think his present employers will want to keep his job open for 1 year. He should be banned from driving for life, he should never be allowed on any road again.

How could he possibly have got away with that! It was presumably proved that he was speeding, was talking on his hand-held mobile phone and had no insurance, so what am I missing? How the hell did he walk free? He’s only £560 poorer for practically crippling this woman and killing her horse, unbelievable!

A very small price to pay for what he has put Ms. Graham and her family through. How can it be called an accident, speeding by accident, talking on his phone while driving with one hand, presumably, by accident and no insurance of course, by accident! It would be interesting to know exactly how much compensation will actually be paid to the victim, because I’m sure it will be nowhere near enough.

He should be in prison, where is the justice!

Antonio Singh Boparan, at 19-years-of-age, drove his mother’s Range Rover at 70mph on a 30mph road, having only passed his test six months before, and was described as weaving in and out of traffic as he overtook one vehicle and went to overtake another when he crashed into a car carrying an eleven month old baby.

He collided head-on with the families jeep, in an impact that was so strong it ripped Cerys out of her baby seat and her skull was detached from her spine.

Singh, the heir to a £130 million fortune, had allegedly told paramedics that the baby was on her father’s lap at the time of the accident and not in her car seat. Mr Edwards said “I was investigated for a week by the police, until they realised it was all complete lies. Singh has put us through absolute hell.”

Singh’s parents, pledged £1 million to release him on bail until he was sentenced and they were featured at number 49 in the Sunday Times Rich List.

Little Cerys Edwards, was left brain-damaged, paralysed, reliant on a ventilator and needs 24-hour care. The driver received only 21 months in prison which it has now be revealed could be dramatically reduced to just 30-weeks to ease over-crowding in prisons.

Mr Edwards suffered suffered a broken nose and rib, and his wife, who was driving at the time, suffered a broken ankle, in the crash which happened just a mile from their home.

After the sentencing, Cerys’s parents, Gareth and Tracy said “We feel strongly that the maximum two-year sentence should have been imposed. Even this would be inadequate considering what has happened to our daughter. Cerys could not survive without her ventilator, so in our opinion he should have been facing up to 14 years, the same penalty as causing death by dangerous driving” said Mr Edwards, who is 43-years-old.

Cerys Mother, Tracy, is staying at a specialist care centre with her daughter more than 100 miles away from their home, and said “He has taken away our daughter. It is heart-breaking. She had her whole life left.”

The Judge, Frank Chapman said he “utterly ruined” the lives of Cerys and her family but added that the maximum sentence he could give was two years for dangerous driving. However, the judge reduced the sentence to 21 months because Boparan was of “previous good character” and had not stolen the vehicle he was driving at the time of the crash, in November 2006. He was also given a driving ban for five years.

Unless the insurers of Boparan agree to pay for a house adaption for Cerys, the mother and daughter will have to remain at the rehabilitation centre in Surrey.

Unbelievable, it has already come to light, that his father is a multi-millionaire, you’d think he would have had the decency to have already paid for the home adaption. This child will never have a normal life and so I agree, he should have been tried for manslaughter the day he took her future away from her.

As for the “previous good nature”, hadn’t he already lied by making out the child was not in a car seat, and torturing this family further, how can he live with himself, there should have been an extra sentence for that at least! Everyone knows about the prison over-crowding problems but many of the people in them should have been given a death sentence not a pathetic jail term so that they can come out and do it all over again!

Not only has he taken this child’s normal life away from her, but he has also given a life sentence to her parents. Everyday they have to care for their child who is totally dependant of them for the rest of her life, whereas in a few short months his life can return to normal, where is the justice in that!

If Mr & Mrs Singh feel the sorrow that they say they feel, then let’s hope they do the honorable thing and help this poor family out, by paying for the adaption their house needs so Carys can at least go home and be with them, after all it was your son that caused it!
