After changing his please to guilty on all accounts, including the murder of another grandson, yesterday Josef Fritzl was sentenced to a life sentence.

Following this sentence, there was a discussion on the radio this morning as to whether such an atrocious and callous crime deserved the death penalty. The opinion was divided with some voicing the opinion that a civil society could not impose the death penalty.

I disagree. I sick of hearing the views of others who appear more concerned with the perpetrators of crime and less so of the innocent victims of crime. Anyone found guilty without any reasonable doubt of their inhumane crimes against another human has no human rights at all.

What punishment fits the crimes of Josef Fritzl?

There is no punishment that is going to fit this crime. Whether Josef Fritzl spends the rest of his life in prison or was to receive the death penalty, it would not give back 24 years of his daughter’s life or that of her surviving children.

Josef Fritzl is not ill or insane, he is just another evil man with absolutely no morals or concern for another person’s life. This is a man who knew what was right or wrong and chose to ignore it.

So why should anyone give a damn as to his human rights or what is best for a so-called ‘civil’ society?

All I can think of is Elisabeth Fritzl is two years younger than me. Not only will she always be scarred by this nightmare, she was an innocent victim who has lost a large part of her life.

Josef Fritzl does not deserve to live.

The A-level student was only yards from the home that she shared with her parents and sister, when Kohli grabbed her and bundled her into his van.  He then raped her before strangling her and dumping her body in brambles in Allington Lane, West End, Southampton.

Hannah’s body was discovered on March 16th 2003, by a young boy and the investigation into this young girls murder began.

Ten days after the body was found, a nationwide appeal on Crimewatch was launched which finally gave the police a breakthrough.

Kohli is named in a call made to the police on March 27th only for them to learn that he had left the country and flown to India.  His sandwich delivery van was seized and his home, where his wife was still living, and the industrial estate premises where he worked were both searched.

A link was made on April 2nd after DNA swabs were taken from Kohli’s wife and children and a warrant for his arrest was issued the next day.

It had now been left in the hands of the Indian police and by January 16th 2004, the reward money for the murderers capture had grown to £70,000.

After finally being arrested while trying to flee to Nepal on July 15th 2004, extradition proceedings began in Delhi.  He was finally flown back to Britain on July 28th 2007 and was officially charged with abduction, rape and the murder of Hannah.

The evil killer, was yesterday jailed for a minimum of 24-years, why only that long I don’t know.  Why should this scum ever be allowed back onto the streets again.  What right does he have to walk out of prison after serving the minimum of his term and go back to living a normal life, that poor girl never got the chance, he cruelly snatched her life away from her.

The assault was vicious and the baby suffered stab wounds to his head, chest and spine and also had one of his hands cut off.

After the murder, he walked to the local police station to confess, he was given a hospital order after pleading guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Over the years he had been in several institutions before being moved to Hayes Hospital, near Bristol in January 2007 and is described as an independent hospital for adults, managed by the National Autistic Society.

Hawkins has been diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia and autistic spectrum disorder, but was still placed in a low-security hospital.

Despite three previous escapes, Hawkins was deemed fit for a transfer to the hospital, where on February 2nd he escaped again, the police were notified 30 minutes after he had fled.  Hawkins broke in to a house nearby, where he stole knifes, cooked himself a meal and stole some clothes.

On the 3rd February, Hawkins walked across the Severn Bridge to Chepstow in Monmouthshire, where he attacked a 14-year-old girl.  He threatened to kill her with a knife before dragging the schoolgirl into a secluded spot where he raped her.

Hawkins had not only be allowed to collect a pornographic and horror DVD’s at the unit but was also taken out by staff to the cinema to watch horror movies.

Months before the attack, Hawkins had to be put on 24-hour supervision after he’d lunged at staff and punched walls, before asking a female worker for sex.

Apparently, Avon and Somerset Police were not even warned of the dangers Hawkins posed, the only information they received from the hospital unit was that Hawkins may neglect himself not that he was a risk to other people.

Unbelievable, why are the Autistic Society in charge of the mental patients, surely that is a job for professional psychiatrists?

Bring back the death penalty, why should this evil man be allowed to live after murdering an innocent baby and then ruining the life of a young girl.

Sophie, 20, and her boyfriend Robert Maltby, 21 were attacked by thugs and beaten so badly that when paramedics arrived they couldn’t tell who was who.

Ryan Herbert, 16, was given a minimum term of 16 years in prison, Brendan Harris, 15, received a minimum of 18 years.  The other yobs who attacked Robert but not Sophie were Joseph Hulme,17, his brother Danny, 16, and Daniel Mallett, 17, were all jailed for between four and six years.  These animals have already appealed against their sentences, but how they are even given the chance to appeal is beyond me, they should never be allowed out!

Tonight, ITV are showing a programme called ‘Fixing Broken Britain’, and Sophie’s mother agreed to be on the programme as she didn’t want Sophie’s death to amount to nothing.

The documentary shows a report on how these yobs are dealt with in other countries who are trying to control the growing concerns of teenage thuggery.

In the case of these thugs, I’m not too sure it would have helped, as I recall the mother of Brendan Harris laughed as the police quizzed her son and told the story of what had happened.

Sylvia Lancaster said “One of the main reasons, I believe, is the culture of binge drinking in the UK.  The teenagers who killed my daughter had drunk lager, cider and peach schnapps on the night they attacked her.  One of the things I wanted to see was how other countries manage to avoid this appalling drinking culture.”

She added “Maybe, if I keep campaigning and I manage to stop even one teenager from going off the rails, I know that Sophie would have been proud of me too.”

A leader of the group ‘Phoenix Survivors’, Shy Keenan, said they were promised money by the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, but haven’t received a penny.

Yesterday, it emerged that a group called ‘Circles UK’, has been set-up to help sex offenders ‘reintegrate’ into society and will be allegedly receiving £164,000 a year from the Ministry of Justice.

Shy, ran the organisation with Sara Payne, who’s little girl was Sarah, 7, was sexually assaulted and murdered by Roy Whiting in July 2000.

Shy said in a report “It’s sickening that the Government can find money for the perpetrators but not for the victims of these dreadful crimes.

We are utterly appalled. Phoenix Survivors closed down this week due to a lack of funding. Despite promises, we have been refused any Government funding to help paedophile victims recover their lives.

Finding the funding to advocate, support and help in their recovery has been a living nightmare.

We feel excluded from a society that forces us to pay for paedophile recovery, whilst ignoring the plight of their victims.”

Apparently, taxpayers will foot the bill for the charity which states it’s aims are to “Manage those who have been convicted of sexual offences in a just and humane manner.”

Jean Taylor’s daughter 27-year-old Chantel Taylor, a mother of three children aged 12, 11 and 9, was murdered by Stephen Wynne, 27, of Birkenhead although no body has ever been found.

Her mother has campaigned wholeheartedly to find her but the police thought she must be dead and in January Wynne admitted to her murder.

The family held a funeral for Chantel in July 2006 as a celebration of a young mother’s life.

Wynne was sentenced to life at Liverpool Crown Court on January 25, when the judge said he should serve a minimum of 21 years in jail.  However, he took the case to the Court of appeal and they ruled that the minimum term was too long and reduced it to 18 years.

The court heard how Wynne had used a saw to dismember the body and how he hid the parts in nearby woods and at the local tip.
The killer was also sentenced to 6 years for a failed arson attack on a mosque.

At last someone is doing something and I for one back them every step of the way.  How should he even have been allowed to take his case to the Court Of Appeal when he had already admitted the evil murder.  He has robbed this woman of a daughter and three children of their mother, why should he ever be allowed to walk the streets again. 

Mrs Taylor was quoted as saying “We should take young thugs out of prison and give them six months of army training American-style boot camps.  Depending on the severity of their crimes, they could spend another six months in somewhere like Iraq.  Let’s turn them into men, rather than let them spend a year in a holiday camp playing pool or on their playstations”.

“Ordinary people in this country are sick and tired of what’s going and I am inviting those who haven’t lost young ones in the way we have to join our campaign”.

“How many parents who have teenagers living at home can say they are not fearful?  I want to say to them ‘Do you want to be next? Do you want to be where I am?’  If you don’t, then come along next time and support us.  And if we end up going back to London with 20,000 people there is no way we can be ignored.”

Mrs Taylor added “We shouldn’t be having to do this, but we’re going to keep on going back to London again and again, until murderers are kept off our streets – for ever.”

Last year’s figures were 19 alone, what does that tell you!

Nick Herber, the shadow justice secretary, has said “Labour’s mismanagement of prisons is descending from tragedy to farce. How secure are our jails if criminals can break into them? Whether these are offenders trying to return to jail, as prison officers have alleged, or dealers trying to traffic drugs, it is ludicrous that supposedly secure establishments can be breached in this way.”

As I have said in previous stories, it is a free bed and breakfast hotel, there is no punishment, most of the prisoners have a better time in jail than they’ve ever had on the outside, is nobody getting the message!

Inmates allegedly have recently told Mr Straw that conditions inside are like a “holiday camp”.

Glyn Travis, the assistant general secretary of the Prison Officers Association said, “Prisoners receive a wage for being in prison, they receive a bed, a TV in all cells, Sky television in most areas for recreational use, free telephones, breakfast in bed on many occasions, cash bonuses for good behaviour and prison staff are forced to deal with them in such a subservient way. It’s rediculous.”

Mr Travers also said “Drugs are coming in at a rate that’s so dramatic that (they) are actually cheaper than on the outside. It tells me there’s something wrong in society when people are breaking into jail to bring in drugs and prostitutes, but the prisoners are quite happy to stay inside.” He also mentioned what happened on one occasion with a break-in at Everthorpe prison in Yorkshire when drug dealers and prostitutes actually entered the jail with ladders.

According to recent figures, 37,000 inmates were eligible for early release but they declined to apply.

Why would they want to leave, they haven’t even got to bother with the effort of signing-on as they do on the outside. No rent to pay, no council tax, no bills, free food, bed and board and they even get given money for absolutely nothing, what is the point! You are all paying for them to live in this pampered society! Boot camps or national service is the answer, not the pathetic jail’s we have in the UK.

Now it seems that the murder victim was on bail himself after being charged with gang-raping a 16-year-old girl, who then had caustic soda poured over her body to destroy DNA evidence. He had also been involved in a gang fight where another man was stabbed.

He along with nine others, were charged in January over the rape of the girl in North London. The burns she suffered were horrendous, caused by a drain cleaning fluid which nearly ended her life and from which she will never fully recover.

Bigby is believed to be a member of a north London gang and was tagged at the time of the incident, after he was freed on bail last week awaiting trial.

He had been bailed after the rape charge only six months after he had been bailed for gang stabbing. He had been charged with grievous bodily harm and violent disorder over the stabbing attack in 2006.

Detectives believe the attack was “spontaneous” after Bigsby, who was with friends at the time, supposedly threw some water over four men outside McDonald’s. However, they are also investigating if it could have been retaliation from a rival gang over the rape or attack.

Police are now apparently looking for four men who they believe were involved with the attack and were seen walking up and down Oxford Street before the stabbing.

If that had been my 16-year-old daughter, niece, sister etc. then it would have been a revenge attack. I have absolutely no sympathy with the thug, good riddance!

If it was just a spontaneous attack then maybe that’s the answer. Lock all the thugs up in a place together and let them kill each other!

Cook was 17-years-of-age when he sexually abused this little boy and then in a “sustained and violent” attack, killed him.

Little Charlie Johnson died from severe head injuries after being attacked by Cook at the child’s home in Scarborough, North Yorkshire in May 2007.

A jury took just over two hours to unanimously find evil Cook guilty of the murder, and the toddler’s family cheered and applauded the verdict form the public gallery.

In a statement read out by the family liaison officer outside of the court, they said they felt “immense relief” that Cook had been convicted.  “In court Joshua Cook failed to give an accurate account as to how or why he choose to end Charlie’s life.  Whilst the guilty verdict helps to bring some closure, Cook’s failure to account for his actions has left the family with many unanswered questions about what happened to their son.  Charlie was a bright, happy boy and a joy to be around.  He has left a huge gap in the lives of his family, in particular his brother and sister who are struggling to come to terms with life without their baby brother.”

Cook, now 18-years-old, previously denied murder but admitted sexual assault and manslaughter.  Sentencing has been adjourned for six weeks to allow for psychiatric and pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

Georgina Fisher, Charlie’s mother, had regularly arranged for Cook to babysit in the four months prior to the attack.  On the 16th May 2007, Cook who was the son of a friend of Ms Fisher’s, arrived to look after Charlie for the day.  Later that same afternoon, Cook was seen on the street carrying the child wrapped in a towel and looking agitated.  When a neighbour asked him what was wrong, Cook cried “He’s dead.  He’s dead.”

Charlie was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, but died early the next morning while undergoing brain surgery.  A pathologist told the jury that the toddler had a large blood clot over the surface of his brain.  There was also extensive bruising to the body, bleeding around the eyes and evidence of sexual assault that would have caused “substantial pain”.

The Prosecuting barrister Bryan Cox QC, stated that deeper bruising suggested punching, kicking or “violent shaking”.

Here is a perfect example of why the death penalty should be reintroduced.  How ever long he gets in prison is just not going to be enough for his vile actions.  He sexually assaulted and then viciously attacked this innocent little child.  It’s unbearable to think of the pain that little boy must have suffered and the pain that his family are going through still. This thug needs to have his life ended, he is a paedophile and a murderer. 

This was the judge that jailed window cleaner, Keith Finn 24 years old, for two years for raping a 10 year old girl.

The reason he gave this paedophile such a lenient sentence was the fact that she dressed “provocatively”, she was a 10 year old child for god’s sake!

Finn’s friend Darren Wright, 34 years old, was sentenced to a nine month jail term for inciting the girl to engage in a sex act on the same night on October 14 2006. As both animals had already spent eight months in jail on remand and so Wright was immediately free to go and Finn could be out in months.

The Judge said “It is an absolute crime because she was only 10. In my experience this has been the most difficult sentencing exercise I have ever had to decide on. The circumstances in this case are exceptional.”

“It is quite clear she is a very disturbed child and a very needy child and she is a sexually precocious child. She like to dress provactively.”

“Did she look like she was 10? Certainly not. She looked 16, that was a matter that was accepted.”

This vulnerable child had met the two men in Henley-on-Thames, they got chatting and she told them she was 16. They went to a park where the child had oral and full sex with Finn, but when later asked if she had consented, the child couldn’t be sure if she had or not. Later Wright forced the girl to commit a sex act on him at his home.

This is the same Judge, Julian Hall, which let a man go free and suggested he gave his young victim money to “buy a nice bicycle.”

Eric Cole had already spent time in jail for previous sex attacks, actually admitted to putting his hands down a six year old girls trousers as she stood in her garden.

In this case the judge said “In criminal terms, what you did was quite mild”. The 71 year old was then given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay his victim compensation of £250, with the judge adding “If it buys her a nice new bicycle, that’s the sort of thing that might cheer her up.”

The latest ruling by the great judge is a three-year supervision order on a 17 year old boy who abused two young children.

The judge sitting at Oxford Crown Court, decided not to jail the offender as he didn’t believed he was “sufficiently dangerous.”

Fortunately, the case has now been referred to The Court Of Appeal, who have deemed the sentence unduly lenient.

This man has got to be stopped. I don’t know what his story is but his views on child abuse are not normal. He can’t seem to be able to differentiate between adults and children.
