The squatters, not only the UK but from Italy, Spain, Poland, South Africa, North and South America, Canada, Germany and Mauritius, say they are not scroungers, that’s after they have broken into someone else’s property and wrecked it at a considerable price to the tax payer I might add.

Local residents are furious at council officials for not securing the property properly, after suffering weeks of all-night, rowdy parties, lighting bonfires, covering the area with discarded furniture and rubbish and covering the place with graffiti.

The block of 45 flats belonged to a private owner who had leased it out for temporary accommodation, but just before the property was due to be handed back, the squatters had heard about it and moved in.

Residents had started to feel unsafe in their own homes with strange people hanging around and cars coming and going at all times of the night.

The squatters have defended their right to occupy the flats and had apparently offered to pay rent, yeah right!

Many of the squatters claim not to be able to afford the rent that is being asked as it’s too expensive!  Get a job then, why should you be any different to anyone else!

I would imagine that most of those people are receiving some sort of benefits, and if that’s the case some of it should be used to pay for the damage that now needs to be repaired etc.

These people are not only trespassing but stealing, they have taken something that does not belong to them, surely these laws are in place for a reason.

One of the changes is the amount of time sex offenders can be banned from travelling abroad!  They should never be allowed to travel abroad.  Once convicted they should never be allowed to own a passport for a start.

Currently, police are only allowed to rely on evidence from the person’s previous six months activities and the risk that the individual poses.  Absolutely ridiculous, as this would be in the case of Glitter, that he has be incarcerated for the last couple of years so he would pose no risk!

The group Ecpat UK, has accused the Government of turning a blind eye on the dozens of British sex offenders who travel abroad.

Allegedly, the UK hasn’t convicted a single person of child sex tourism offences since 2005, there is also no public reporting helpline available.

It was reported on the Ecpat UK site, that earlier this year a 77-year-old, British national was arrested for the 6th time by Thai police since 1977.  The child on this occasion was 8-years-old and the pensioner was on bail at the time that the abuse took place.  In 2007, the children involved were just 9 and 11, but as he is still in Thailand the police do not have to do anything in the UK.

There needs to be an awful lot of changes to the ridiculous laws relating to child sex offences in the UK.  Remove their passports and insert some sort of tracking device that is irremovable on the offenders so that they are traced every minute of the day.  Our children deserve to be protected and the same applies to children the world over, at the moment this is not happening and our children are suffering.

As for the sex offenders register, which was set up to contain the details of every offender convicted, cautioned or released from prison for sexual offences against children, but only if they were convicted after 1997.

As for the amount of time they stay on the register is another ridiculous practice.  If they have been in prison for more than 30 months they are on the register indefinitely, however, if they were only imprisoned between 6 months and 30 months, then they only need to remain on there for 10 years, or 5 years if they are under 18.  Once a paedophile always a paedophile.

The register does throw up some concerns however, for example, teenagers who engage in consensual sex can be put on the register.  There needs to be other arrangements put in place for these circumstances as I am sure we would all agree, this is not considered to be child abuse.

Maybe the best result would be just to leave the convicted paedophile with the parents of that child!

Gary Glitter - Child Abuser

Most people would have read the recent reports on child molester Gary Glitter being deported back to the UK by now.

Glitter was convicted in Britain in 1999, for the possession of child pornography, and spent a few weeks in jail, half of the four month sentence he was given.

He travelled to Cambodia where he was expelled in 2002 and then went onto Vietnam where he was convicted of obscene acts with children in 2006.

He was convicted after sex acts with a 10 and 11-year-old girl, and was sentenced to three years in jail.  He had three months cut from his jail term last year for good behaviour and will be released on Tuesday.

Allegedly, police have already booked his ticket to London despite the paedophiles request not to return.  However, Vietnamese law requires he be returned to his home country.

In a recent interview, Glitter said that he intends to resume his singing career and may move to Singapore or Hong Kong.

Hopefully, no person in their right mind would buy his music, not only because it is crap but because they will then be funding the life of a child molester.

Now with his record of child abuse, most countries would never let him stay even if they do let him in, no child would be safe.

So why can he not be arrested when he arrives back on UK soil.  Surely there were provisions when he left jail in the UK, he should be immediately locked back up.

The most worrying thing about Glitter, who’s real name is Paul Francis Gadd, is that he still can’t see what is wrong with what he done, so how can he possibly change if he thinks his actions are acceptable.

He should have his passport removed and be put on the paedophile register.   What right has he too go to other countries and prey on their children, lock him up and throw away the key, he’s scum.

Barbara Ellis drunk on gin at the time of the incident, told her husband Roderic, that she hated him before slashing him across the face with a knife, causing a seven-inch wound that required thirteen stitches.

When the police arrived at the home of the couple, Mrs Ellis was cleaning her husbands blood off of the carpet.

She should have been given an immediate jail sentence, set down in the guidelines, however, the judge gave her a 12-month sentence, suspended for a year and ordered her to attend an alcohol treatment programme.

Unbelievable, so what if she’s an old lady, she’s done the crime she should do the time!

Time and time again we listen to the excuse that it was because of the drink, so what is being done about it, absolutely nothing.

You can pick alcohol up for less money than a bag of chips, something needs to be done and fast.

The innocent victim, a 46-year-old IT manager, was on the Poole to London train, and had put his laptop in the overhead luggage compartment.

Four men entered the carriage, two of them now known to be GAVIN HORWOOD, 20,from Bournemouth and LEWIS ANDERSON, 21, from Poole, Dorset.

DC Philip James said in court,

“The two protagonists were clearly identified on the CTTV as being Horwood and Anderson.

The CCTV showed Horwood enter the carriage and attempt to conceal himself by pulling on his hooded top, while Anderson was caught nodding towards the direction of the on-board cameras, almost as if he was aware he was being filmed.”

Horwood tried to snatch the laptop bag from the carriage above the victim’s head but failed on the first attempt, and the gang left the carriage only to return moments later.

The DC added,

“Again Horwood’s hand was seen attempting to grab the handle of the bag from the overhead luggage rack and this time the victim saw what was happening and stood up to see what was going on.

Horwood and Anderson then began attacking the victim, while the other two males looked on.

The victim, an IT manager, suffered a prolonged and vicious attack involving some 12 punches and 7 kicks, mostly towards the head and upper body.

Horwood grabbed the bag and then attempted to escape via the adjacent carriage when the train pulled into Branksome.”

A train guard apparently heard a commotion in the carriage and blocked the thugs escape root, retrieving the stolen bag from them.

The gang were caught and arrested three weeks later but two of them were released without charge.  That would be the two that stood and watched that poor innocent man being attacked I presume, why is that not an offence?

The victim was left suffering injuries to his ribs and stomach and had a cut to his ear in the savage beating that took place on November 14 2007.

Yesterday, GAVIN HARWOOD, who was on license at the time of the attack, and was unemployed, pleaded guilty to robbery and sentenced to a pathetic 32 months in jail which won’t begin until December 2009, when he finished his other sentence, Unbelievable, proves that’s working doesn’t it.

LEWIS ANDERSON, also unemployed, was found guilty of robbery and was jailed for 3 years.

Pathetic sentences given for robbery, but what about the vicious attack they inflicted on that poor man, surely that was actual bodily harm, they could have killed him, how can they get away with it!

All four of those yobs should have been charged, decent people wouldn’t just look-on while their friends physically attacked an innocent person!

At Bolton Crown Court today, it was heard that GEMMA STAFFORD, 18, was the gang’s initial ringleader, she was the one who ran to the man in an aggressive manner before the thugs surrounded him.

Two of the yobs began to punch the victim in the head and then he was repeatedly thumped and kicked until he fell to the ground and was knocked unconscious.

One of the thugs, STUART SHAW ,20, continued to kick the man around the head while the evil bitch rifled through the victim’s pocket, stealing his money and cigarettes.

Just before they ran off, Shaw gave the man a running kick to the head before leaving him for dead in the street.

The other thugs were, ANDREW HARBOURNE, 19, from Burnley, who was given four years after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and violent disorder.  He’ll be out in a couple of years, and still only 21, he can then return to the streets with probably a lot more knowledge from other criminals.

JOSHUA McERLEAN, 19, also from Burnley, and was also given four years after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and violent disorder.  Same goes for him!

A 17-year-old, who’s name has not been revealed, was sentenced to 18-months in a detention centre after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and violent disorder.  The public need to know who these thugs are, they should not have the right to remain unnamed.

What a complete waste of time and taxpayer’s money, it is a total embarrassement to be British when you hear of the sentencing other countries follow, we are just a joke to them, a country of thugs.

Fortunately, the victim, a 27-year-old man, only suffered minor injuries, but I am sure he is now fully aware of the injustice that has been done.

Stafford, the evil, sadistic female, was sentenced yesterday to just eighteen months in jail, after admitting to violent disorder and robbery.  Can you believe it, the four other gang members were given a total of thirteen years and six months last month.

Stafford had pretended to be a passer by when the police arrived, that was trying to help the victim as she was concerned!  Shaw just claimed to be too drunk to remember what happened!

How can these thugs get away with it, that was attempted murder, just one kick in the wrong place, it’s happened before, but as usual they are offered the lighter option of grievous bodily harm with intent.

What a bloody joke!  When is the government going to start listening to the people of it’s once great country and address the violence and yob culture we are now labelled with.

A policeman said after the case,

“The scenes on the CCTV are absolutely disgraceful.  The girl thought she would just help herself to the guy’s belongings as her mates give him a good kicking.

He could have been dead or dying yet she could not give too hoots about him.  His money and cigarettes were more important.  There’s just no such thing as the fairer sex these days.”

There probably would be more of the fairer sex, if we didn’t have to put up with these thugs being given menial sentences and then released back onto the streets, where we do not feel safe.

We want safe streets, where we can walk with our children, we want to feel safe in our own homes, we want to be able to know that our children can play outside safely.

Violent Crimes must be punished with sentences that fit the crime.  Our children are being beaten, stabbed and murdered on our streets and these thugs are getting away with it, it has to stop!

In 2005, Kate Moss was, photographed allegedly snorting cocaine as well as Pete Doherty with his crack cocaine and heroin dependency. Now of course, we have Amy Winehouse who doesn’t care who knows she’s an addict, a great role model for our children, but it’s not just celebrities any more.

Today the heir of Tetra Pak, a multi billion pound business fortune and his wife have had the charges against them dropped, how can that be justified I wonder!

Hans Kristian Anders Rausing, 45, and his wife Eva Louise Rausing, 44, were arrested in April, when Mrs Rausing allegedly tried to smuggle crack cocaine and heroin into the American Embassy in London.

A search was then made on their £5 million house in Chelsea, where it was claimed that 0.2oz (5.63g) of crack cocaine, 0.1oz (2.9g) of heroin and nearly 1.8oz (52g) of cocaine were found on April 8.

Scotland Yard investigated the case and the couple were charged with possession, however, at the Westminster Magistrate’s Court, District Judge Timothy Workman has said that the charges against the couple would be formally discontinued at a hearing in August.

The couple actually met in rehab in the US, and the wife admitted that her drugs problems were not over.  The most ironic of this case is that the Rausing’s have been at the forefront of the battle against drugs, trying to steer young people away from taking the wrong path.

Unbelievably, Mrs Rausing, is the patron of a charity called ‘Mentor’, who’s mission is to prevent drug misuse and promote the health and well-being of young people.!

Why have they just been let off with a caution, could it be anything to do with his wealth?.  Surely the drugs laws are there to apply to everyone, but apparently not, celebrities and the rich do not come under the same rules as the rest of us it appears.

She got dressed and went outside and shouted,

“Why can’t you go back to where you come and make some noise there?  I bet your families and neighbours wouldn’t put up with it.

You don’t care about us and do just as you like.  What gives you the right to frighten my elderly neighbours, cause damage and keep us awake at night?”

The woman reported it to the police who came and moved the group of students on, but, it didn’t end there.

Four months later, the lady was arrested and accused of being a racist, as two of the students were Asians and had made a complaint to the police.

The lady was charged with using racially aggravated threatening words or behaviour under section 5 of the Public Order Act.

She denied the charge at the court hearing and eventually the Crown Prosecution Service, dropped the charges last week as there was little chance of conviction.

The grandmother is now filing a complaint about her treatment by the police, and good for her, this country is unbelievable.  I saw no mention of an arrest for the students for the disturbance they were causing!

I think everyone is getting a bit sick of the ‘Racist Card’ being used every time there is an incident, seems to me this is what is starting to make people racist.

A wire had been strung between two trees, about chest height on the disused track and Ryan ploughed into it.  The youngster was not wearing a helmet and suffered fatal head injuries as he was thrown from his bike.

Ryan had gone out in the morning and when he hadn’t returned about lunchtime, his father became concerned and went to look for him.  Ryan was found unconscious near his bike and a emergency helicopter was deployed.

Ryan was treated by the air ambulance crew and then taken to hospital but died without regaining consciousness.

Detectives are now trying to piece together the incident to see if the wire was a “booby trap” preventing youths from using the area as a racetrack.

Apparently, there have been several confrontations lately between the local farmers and trespassing youngsters.

The other theory is that the wire had been holding a sign warning of private property, but the sign had fallen off.

I know the youngsters can be a pain, riding unlawfully on private land, but I do hope this wasn’t put there deliberately by some disgruntled resident.  This sort of “booby trap” will either maim or kill, and they will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.

The young girl, painted one of her finger nails at the Boots branch in Folkestone, Kent. She had opened a bottle of the varnish as she could not find a tester and was caught by a security guard.

She was then questioned by THREE police officers and held until her parents came to collect her and pay for the product.

Her parents were told that their daughter could be forcibly restrained as she was over 10-years-old despite her making no attempt to leave.

The parents have rightly, complained about the “heavy-handed” treatment and are demanding an apology from the police.

The girls mother said,

“(Her daughter) was scared and crying. The whole approach was very heavy handed.

I find it incredibly hard to believe this was the most serious incident going on for the police.

Frankly, this country has gone crazy. This is the sort of thing that just makes me want to pack our bags and leave as soon as (Her daughter) finishing her schooling.”

The 12-year-old said,

“I went into the shop and saw a nail polish which I thought looked alright. There were no testers so I put a tiny bit on my thumbnail. The security guard walked up behind me and said I had to pay for it or it would be theft.

I was really scared. I had no money on me so he said I had to come into the office.”

Her mother said,

“She was kept for an hour in a small office with the security guard and a manager and the police were called.

The security guard who caught her was grinning like he had caught a big fish. It was ridiculous.

At first there were three officers there and when we got there it was just one. The officer told us our rights.

One officer even told me that if I didn’t pay they would take (her daughter) in a police van to Folkestone Police station and charge her with theft.”

The girls parents paid £6.29 for the nail polish stated that she would never return to the store in question.

Maybe the girl was wrong to have just used it, but she had not tried to conceal it as far as I can tell, she seemed to have no intention of stealing the product.

We are forever hearing how stretched out police force is so were three police officers really necessary, how much did that cost the tax-payers?
