The evil mother of Baby P, who cannot unfortunately be identified, has had a statement read out at the Old Bailey by her lawyer where the hearing is taking place after the death of her son.
Baby P had suffered a broken back and over 40 other serious injuries to his little body, causing his death in August 2007. His 27-year-old mother, her boyfriend, 32, and a lodger Jason Owen, were all convicted in 2008 of causing or allowing his death when he was only 17-months old.
The baby boy was even on the Haringey Council’s child protection register, but even that couldn’t save the little lads life.
His so-called mother said in the statement;
“I can only hope and pray my family, my ex-husband included, can one day forgive me of my mistake. However, I know I can’t forgive myself of my shortcomings. I am truly sorry.
I accept I failed Peter by not being fully open with social services I stopped them from being able to do a full job. As a result of this, my son got hurt and sadly lost his short life.
I have lost all I hold dear to me. Now every day of my life is full of guilt. I am trying to come to terms with my failure as a mother. I punish myself on a daily basis and there is not a day goes by that I don’t cry at some point.”
Maybe her name cannot be given but I just hope that people find out who she is and she gets exactly what she deserves. The only reason that this woman is sorry, is because she has been found out, I hope her and her accomplices die a very slow and agonising death!

I truly agree with you. That women should deserve the death penalty and her boyfriend and the person living with them. Their only remorse is that they are were found guilty. They deserve to rot in hell for what they did to the defenseless boy. All of the people who let down the boy: the social workers, the doctors and the child protection service should feel guilty for the rest of their lives for what they allowed to happen. I can’t believe any of them would point the blame on someone else…just like the evil mother and the two men did.

I find her apology utterly pathetic. She cares for no one but herself. Why should she not receive the death penalty? I hope her fellow prisoners find out who she is and make her life like hell for the rest of her term in prison. She, her boyfriend and the roommate are lower than any dirt/scum of the earth.

Disgusting, foul piece of human filth this “woman” is. No apology can even begin to make up for the absolute hell she put a defenceless baby through, and the other two lowlife scum that played their part in his death should never see daylight again. “Really sorry about that whole beating my child to deat thing’” Makes me want to puke with rage.

It’s awfull. How can a woman be so cruel towards a child, whom she carried inside her for 9 months, whom she waited for such a long time.
I think she got the worst punishment. She will miss her baby all her life, but can not bring back.
